Y1.com OTP Not Received: Trace the Missing Sign-In Code

Short answer

When a Y1.com OTP is not received, the SMS is usually filtered into spam, sent to the other SIM, or lost to a typo in the number. Check your Messages app’s spam folder, check the number and the active SIM, let the resend timer run out, then request one fresh code and type only the newest one.

“OTP not received”

What it means: you tapped the send-code button and no SMS showed up. This is the symptom behind most Y1.com OTP not received searches. Check first: your Messages spam folder, then which SIM holds the number.

“OTP expired or incorrect”

What it means: a code arrived but the app turned it down. Wording changes between app builds, so treat this as the general symptom. Check first: request one new code and type it by hand.

Quick fix

  1. Look in the hidden SMS folders

Check spam, blocked and any “promotions” tab in Messages. In Google Messages, that list is Spam & blocked in the menu.

  2. Re-read the number

If +91 already sits beside the box, type just the 10 digits, with no leading 0 and no extra 91.

  3. Refresh the signal, then ask once

Keep airplane mode on for fifteen seconds, switch it off and wait for your bars. Let the resend timer finish, then tap once.

Unblock filtered and spam SMS

Filters are the usual reason a code reaches your phone but never reaches your eyes. Codes in India come from a letter-based sender header, which strict filters can mistake for marketing.

  • Google Messages: open Spam & blocked, tap the code text and mark it as not spam.
  • Samsung Messages: go to settings, then Block numbers and spam, and open blocked messages.
  • Truecaller or another caller-ID app handling your SMS: check its spam and blocked lists too.
  • Operator DND: full blocking targets promotional texts, not one-time codes, but review the categories in your operator’s app if company texts vanish in general.

Check the number, country code and SIM

The code goes to the exact digits you typed, so one slip sends it to a stranger or nowhere.

  • Watch keyboard suggestions, which can paste an old number or a family member’s.
  • On a dual-SIM phone, open the SIM settings (SIM manager on Samsung, SIMs on Pixel) and make sure the registered SIM is switched on.
  • If that number is an eSIM or sits in another handset, the SMS lands there instead.

Login or Register: use the right door

Whether a code is sent depends on whether your number already has an account. Ask for a login code on a number that never signed up, or register one that already did, and the app may show a message or send nothing.

Fix “OTP expired or incorrect”

A rejected code is nearly always an old code, a typo or a slow entry. A new request normally replaces the previous code, so type only the latest one.

  1. Delete earlier code texts

With a single code in the thread, you can’t pick the wrong one.

  2. Request once and stay put

Leaving the app for long can reset the form on some phones.

  3. Type it yourself, straight away

Autofill sometimes grabs another app’s code, and codes stop working after a limited time.

If fresh codes keep failing, stop. Repeated wrong entries may trigger a temporary block (see Y1.com account locked), and hammering resend can make OTP systems pause sending to your number. Limits aren’t published, so wait before one more try.

In-app customer service

Only the operator can see whether codes leave their system for your number, lift a sending pause or move an account to a new number. It’s the headset icon on the Wallet or Deposit screen. If you can’t sign in, look for a support option on the sign-in screen.

Our Telegram

We can’t view accounts or send codes, but we can go through your SMS and SIM settings with you.

For a missing or rejected code, include:

  • Phone model, Android version and mobile operator
  • Which SIM slot holds the registered number
  • Whether you tapped Login or Register, and roughly when
  • A screenshot taken after tapping send, with the middle digits of your number covered
  • Whether bank or delivery texts reach you normally

Keep the code to yourself

Nobody investigating a missing SMS needs the code itself. Anyone asking you to read out an OTP, password or UPI PIN is attempting a takeover, so end the chat or call.

Frequently asked questions

Should I install an app that reads or forwards SMS codes for me?

No. You don’t need any helper app to receive a sign-in code, and apps that read or forward SMS are a common tool for stealing OTPs and UPI access. If a website or chat contact pushes you to install one, treat it as a scam and read Is Y1.com real or fake? first.

Someone phoned and asked me to share the code I just got. What should I do?

Hang up and don’t share it. A code you didn’t request means someone is trying to get into an account with your number, so ignore any link they send.

If you set a password, change it once you’re signed in. Report fraud calls on 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.

Can the code be sent to a different number from the one I signed up with?

No. The code only goes to the number on the account. If that SIM is lost or damaged, your operator’s store can issue a replacement SIM for the same number. Moving an account to a completely new number is something only in-app customer service can decide.
